This is a supplementary information notice to those issued by Central Bedfordshire Council and posted on noticeboard in the Parish of Stondon

Notice is hereby that due to the resignation of Russel Bragg , a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that formerly a member of the above Parish Council has ceased to be a member and that a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the said Parish.
If by 14 December 2017 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy in writing to the returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy will be held within sixty days.
If no such request is made, the vacancy will be filled by the Parish Council by co-option.
Requests for such an election should be addressed to The Returning Officer, at the office of the local District or Unitary Council to arrive not later than fourteen days from the date
of this notice (computed in accordance with Rule 2 of Schedule 2 of the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) Rules 1986).
If an election is called, it will take place not later than 20 Febuary 2017.
