We have an update on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) impact on Stondon Surgery and measures implemented to protect staff. 
To protect front line staff they have installed a door entry or access control system. The access control is a buzzer with intercom and will allow them to deliver the following.
No physical staff contact for prescription collection. Buzz to advise what is to be collected. The items will be left on a table or chair and then patients will be allowed access, this includes paper prescriptions.
Please note that processing times have been extended, as it’s taking longer for drugs to arrive.
For dispensed items, please allow five days (they have seen delays in ordered drugs arriving).
For Paper prescriptions to be collected and dispensed by your pharmacy these are taking three days to process.
Patient requests are being triaged by a GP, normally by phone, to reduce contact and to protect the practice from exposure and infection. Some services will continue to be delivered as normal, this includes important child immunisations, Cancer treatments and Warfarin monitoring. Other items such as B12 injections, contraception services and blood tests will be clinically assessed and delivered on an as needs basis.
The important message in this is to maintain Social Distancing, Stay at home and protect your NHS service, which this surgery provides an important part of.
