Eligible households in Central Bedfordshire will soon start to receive the Energy Bill Rebate announced by the government in February.

We will issue payments or vouchers automatically to eligible households. You will not need to make an application. CBC will not contact you by phone or text

From Tuesday 26 April payments of £150 will be made to households that are signed up to pay their Council Tax bills by Direct Debit.
Payment runs will continue over the next few weeks.
You’re eligible for the Council Tax scheme if you live in a property which is in bands A to D as your main home. One payment will be made per household.

If you don’t pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit, we aim to start sending letters towards the end of May with an enclosed £150 voucher, valid for 3 months, which can be cashed at any Post Office.
