Important update for garden waste collection subscribers
Once again, as winter draws in Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) is implementing their annual break for all kerbside collections of household garden waste in Central Bedfordshire for those subscribe users.
Kerbside garden waste collections are paused every winter across Central Bedfordshire.
This year, the break will run for 12 weeks from Monday, 2 December 2024. Collections will restart from Monday, 24 February 2025.
Your final collection will take place on Wednesday, 20 November 2024 (according to the CBC website).

During the break, you can still recycle garden waste at the four recycling centres (Tidy Tips), open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm, with some changes over Christmas and New Year.
If you have space, you could also consider composting at home.
