The Programme Officer for the North Hertfordshire Local Plan Examination has provided details on the next steps in the Examination of the Local Plan (10 December 2019).
The Council submitted their further response to the Inspector’s letters of 9 July (ED166 and 9 August (ED168) on 29 November and the documents have been uploaded to the Examination Documents page of the North Hertfordshire website.

At present, the Inspector is not inviting comments on these documents and is not accepting representations, but there will be the opportunity to comment very shortly.
Once the Inspector has studied the Council’s responses he will be fixing the dates for the additional hearing sessions, publishing his Matters, Issues and Questions for discussion at the hearing sessions, and inviting hearing statements in response to his MIQ’s.
All those who raised objections to the Local Plan when the Council invited comments on the version of the Local Plan to be submitted for Examination (Regulation 19), and those who responded to the consultation on the Main Modifications, whether or not they also responded at Regulation 19, will be entitled to send in hearing statements and to take part in the hearing sessions.
If you wish to send in a hearing statement and/or to take part in the hearing sessions the same criteria apply as previously. These are that the matter or issue that you wish to address has been raised in either your response at Regulation 19, or in your response to the consultation on the Main Modifications, and you must be looking for a change to the Local Plan or Main Modification.
The Inspector is intending to publish his Matters, Issues and Questions in late January.
