Stondon Parish Council joins the nation in mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second and we extend our deepest condolences to the Royal Family. Our sadness at this time is shared by people across the globe, as we remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by our longest reigning Monarch.
The Chair of the Parish Council will read a short Statement and the Proclamation at the War Memorial at All Saints Church, Upper Stondon at 3pm on Sunday 11th September 2022.
All members of the public are welcome to attend and we look forward to seeing you there.
Many people in the parish of Stondon may also think of showing their sadness and respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second by laying flowers. You are welcome to lay floral tributes at the War Memorial, but please do remove any plastics or cellophane to protect the environment. Floral tribute’s will be removed and disposed of at the end of the period of National Mourning on 19 September 2022.

There is a local Book of Condolences at All Saints Church available on Saturday 10th 2022 from 10 to 4pm.
Alternatively one is available at Central Bedfordshire Council offices, Priory House, Chicksands from 9am to 5pm daily.
