Members of the Public: Members of the public wishing to address the Council during the meeting must make the Chairman aware of their intention before the meeting starts. Members of the public wishing to record the meeting are asked to notify the Chairman of their intentions so that appropriate arrangements can be made for the recording, in accordance with the Council’s Standing Orders and Recording of Meetings Policy.

Please note: due to the current Covid-19 Coronavirus situation, this meeting will need to be run within Government COVID-19 guidelines and Council risk assessments. Access to the Village Hall could be limited to those that need to attend and should alert the Clerk to their attendance. Contact details might be need to be recorded for the purpose of the meeting. We request that masks are worn and numbers limited.

For planning applications that are urgent and submitted between meetings powers have been delegated to the Clerk (following discussions with Council for a proposed response) to send comments to Planning.

25) To approve Minutes of Stondon Parish Council Meeting held on 23 June 2021 [8:15pm]

27) To consider general matters requiring a decision: [8:20pm] a) Committee membership and representation
b) Stondon Surgery expansion – What can we do to push Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group to move forward. Should we raise this with local MP(s).
c) The Pastures – update on concerns re adopted Highways plans and potential actions to move this forward
d) Land Registration of BMX Track and requirement to obtain detailed plans. Suggested cost £500
e) External consultation on SRA/Council Open spaces and play areas. This will include development of plans, public consultation, report as proposed by Groundworks. Copy of proposal included.
i) BMX Track – circa £3,900
ii) Fakeswell areas – circa £4,000
f) Safety works as part of Section 278 at entrance to Mulberry, Barratt and Redrow sites.
g) Open spaces/S106 – what further actions can we take to get CBC planning to agree that Councils, such as Stondon, may want to take over open spaces.
h) Potential Development Management Committee representation for the following planning applications. Primarily to ensure we are ready in case they are called in.
i) CB/21/02837/FULL – 22 Station Rd
ii) Redrow – Reserved matters
iii) Bloor Home – Reserved matters
i) Station Road – overgrown hedges and narrowing of pavements, what else can we do?
j) Village Hall Boiler new boiler cost outline and funding options – circa £3,000
k) Planting scheme and funding request to support project
l) Request for Metal detecting and impact with potential damage to open space
m) Christmas Tree – forward planning and tree selection
n) Peckworth – on-line discussion with planning officer. Agreed that the conditions mitigated it’s concerns and information circulated. Request approval.
