You will have noticed the traffic lights on the Bedford Road at the Barratts/Redrow developments.
We have raised a number of questions with Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) about the timing and issues the traffic lights have caused on the Bedford Rd (where Redrow are planning to build 115 homes). CBC have requested the contractor to remove them at the evenings and weekends and when they have finished for the day.
In addition they must manually operate the lights between the hours of 7am to 9am and from 3pm(15:00) to 7pm (19:00) or until the lights have been removed.
We hope that this will help with traffic flow and minimise the impact on peoples journeys.
