The Parish Council after much discussion has finally agreed the works with Mulberry Homes.
The following is a broad outline and we are waiting for the project schedule, once Mulberry have confirmed their resources are ready for implementation.
Phase 1 – Install connecting pipework
The first phase will be to install pipework to connect the Mulberry Development to the mains in Pollards Way.
These works will involve removal of broken fence work and some trees and scrub.
Works should start from the 19th October and may limit access to sections of the open space for a short period.
Phase 2 – Install additional Drainage
The next phase which may involve closing of sections of the open space will be to install drainage upgrades to help prevent flooding of the area.
These works will connect some of the outflow to the “pond” along with clearing much of the scrub, dead trees and unmanaged growth along the boundary.
Phase 3 – Adding connecting paths
The final phase will be the installation of connecting paths between the new open space on the Mulberry site and the Pollards Way open space.
Additional Works

At some point in the new future (once Central Bedfordshire Council have confirmed fund availability (secured through building commitments or section 106)) the Council plan to install a path round Pollards Way open space. This will allow the use of the open space by a greater, more diverse range of residents, including those with mobility issues.
Please be considerate to those working on the project and the impact will be relatively short lived although it may last till January 2021. We have requested a copy of the project plan and timeline.
