The Parish Council have been invited to comment on a proposal of an outline planning application for the Henlow Greyhound Stadium Bedford Road Lower Stondon

The proposal is to submit, at some point in the near future, an outline application for the erection of up to 75 dwellings and formation of vehicular and pedestrian access, estate roads, parking and amenity space. Construction of surface water attenuation basin and associated landscaping.
The Council have been provided with a overall plan with limited detail.

“The road will take the form of a spine road through the site to the boundary with the approved site to the west, to align with the spine road of that development. Side roads are proposed to provide linkages into the approved development site to the north and to potential development land to the south.
It is anticipated that the proposals will include new hedgerow and tree planting on the northern boundary together with the road frontage and a surface water attenuation basin in order to provide a soft boundary to the residential development on the north of Lower Stondon, together with net gains for biodiversity.”
We hope to meet with the proposer in the near furture to understand their scheme a little better and will report back at the next most suitable Parish Council meeting.
