In 2016 RAF Henlow was identified for disposal.
On current plans, RAF Henlow is targeted for vacation by 2023 and phasing of this has already commenced.

Homes England, the Government’s national housing agency, and Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) the estate expert for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), are working in partnership to shape redevelopment proposals for the site. This will include, building new homes, employment opportunities and facilities for the local community.
To help create the best proposals for RAF Henlow and the community, they are going to work with local Parish Councils and residents to help shape the future of the site. This will be done through a series of engagement events.
They need your help.

They have asked us to share the link below to register your interest in the initial sessions. They would also like to hear your views on the issues that affect you, the community and the local area.
They are asking for ideas on how you think RAF Henlow might be redeveloped. It will be redeveloped and may involve a significant number of houses and other facilities.
The Parish Council, through its own mailing list, will try to keep you updated.
It is likely to be a regular item on the Parish Council agenda.
