Stondon Parish Council made a presentation against the application for 115 houses at the Development Management Committee meeting on the 14th October 2020. Against the protestations of the Parish Council, our Ward Councillors, a member of the public and CPRE the application was approved.
This application can be viewed at http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/planning-register by entering the application reference 20/02334 (this link should take you to the application). You can also watch the meeting on-line as well.
The proposer now has permission to develop up to 115 new homes. The scheme is adjacent to the Mulberry and Barrett developments. The application provides the community with some gains as detailed in the enclosed PDF – Link to Rainier Additional information in PDF form .
They will have to submit an application detailing the location, size and mixture of houses, called “Reserved Matters”.
The Parish Council will work with the proposer to maximise potential community gains and look at options to improve safety and interconnectivity to the proposed site in the form of a legal document. Central Bedfordshire Council will manage the majority of this process.
