The proposer seeks to provide a development of 115 new homes. The scheme is adjacent to the Mulberry and Barrett developments. Rainer are proposing that the scheme is supported by a series of technical and environmental studies and could provide opportunities for traffic calming along with landscaping and enhancements to biodiversity.

Rainer Developments have stated that the site is in a sustainable location and within walking distance to local facilities and services in Lower Stondon and local public transport links. The site could make a positive contribution to the delivery of new homes to assist the Council in maintaining its supply of housing land. They claim that there are no technical constraints on the site and a sensitively designed scheme will establish a new clearly defined boundary south of the village. A series of financial contributions would be agreed with the Council to support the delivery of local infrastructure improvements for the village.

They have their own website here – https://www.rainierdevelopments.co.uk/lower-stondon-south/

We will be discussing this application, along with others at the next Parish Council meeting. Please note the Parish Council is not the Local Planning Authority (known as the LPA).

The Council welcomes input and constructive support on this application. Without this we will not be able to help shape the community we live in.
