Play Parks to remain Closed due to COVID-19 and will be reviewed at the Council meeting of the 29 July.
Unfortunately, we will not be reopening any of our playgrounds or outdoor gym equipment, until we have reviewed and approved the Risk Assessment and relevant signage as required under Government guidance.
This review will take place at the Council meeting of the 29th July. Only the Council, as a corporate body, can sign these off.
The health and safety of our residents and visitors is our priority.
Opening the play parks and gym are limited by the resources available to us.
Play Parks managed by the Parish Council include –
Pollards Way (including the open space), Lily Walk, Birch Grove and Meadowsweet.
The Parish Council is assisting the SRA, and in discussions with them, on taking over the management of the play parks at Fakeswell Lane, The Pastures/Hillside Road and the BMX track.
The two parks on the Bovis estate are managed by SDL/Bovis.
Also if note is that we have openings for Parish Councillors to join us.
We are looking for people that can assist and work with us on projects.
