Central Bedfordshire Council ran a comprehensive “Call for Sites” exercise between November 2024 and January 2025 for landowners and developers to suggest land for new housing, employment and green spaces across the county. All the submitted sites are currently being assessed through the Strategic Land Availability Assessment (SLAA) process to determine which are suitable, available and appropriate for development.

CBC is hosting a public consultation between 6 July and 17 August 2026 which will give residents, the Parish Council and stakeholders the opportunity to review and comment on the submitted sites within Stondon – or in parishes nearby that will have a direct impact on Stondon. The Parish Council will publish an update to this post at the time with the link to the public consultation portal – please use this opportunity to register your views on the sites.
The Parish Council will consider its own response to the Consultation at the next Parish Council meeting on 15th July 2026 at the Stondon Community Centre. Residents are welcome to attend the meeting to give feedback during the open session.
