You are hereby summoned to attend the Meeting of Stondon Parish Council on Wednesday 24th June 2026, commencing at 7:30 pm in The Function Room, Stondon Community Centre, The Pastures, Upper Stondon, SG16 6QB for the purpose of transacting the business set out in this agenda.

167. Apologies for absence – 7.30pm

168. Declarations of interest – 7:32pm
a) To receive declarations of interest from Councillors on items on the agenda. If, at any time during the meeting, a Councillor feels they have an interest in an item being discussed they should declare it at that point.
b) To receive written requests for dispensations for disclosable pecuniary interests.
c) To grant requests for dispensation as appropriate.

170. Public session – 7:40pm
Standing Orders will be suspended for a period of up to 15 minutes to allow members of the public to address the Council in relation to the business on the agenda or request matters to be discussed at a subsequent meeting. Please note that this is limited to a maximum of 3 minutes per speaker.

172. Planning Applications as received from Central Bedfordshire Planning Authority – 8:10pm
a) None for consideration.

173. To approve the Minutes of the Stondon Parish Council Meeting of 27th May 2026 – 8:11pm

174. Community Centre and Village Hall – 8:15pm
a) Update and actions on snagging issues and defects liability end period at the Community Centre.
b) Update on Stondon Village Hall Management Committee Meeting of 8th June 2026.
c) Update and actions on Village Hall matters.

175. Open Spaces – 8:20pm
a) To receive an update on green space issues.
b) Poppyfields Community Garden: To review and decide on a formal request from the Lower Stondon Surgery regarding long-term use of the land for a car park servicing the GP Surgery.
c) To receive an update on Anglian Water pipe installation and actions required.

176. Community Engagement – 8:45pm
a) To note the June report from the Community Engagement Officer and approve:
i. Proposed budget allocations for Community Engagement events 2026 – 2027;
ii. Proposed events for 2027.
b) To consider and approve quotes for design of a new Parish Council logo.

177. Finance – 9:00pm
a) To consider quotes from high-interest banks/funds and approve the transfer of funds from the Lloyds bank account
b) To consider and approve a Grant Request from Henlow & Villages Community First Responders.
c) To consider a proposal from a resident to purchase parts of the acoustic fencing from the Community Centre car park.
d) To consider and approve the purchase of a Christmas Tree for the roundabout and the Community Centre – based on quoted sizes.
e) To consider options for repair of a bench at Birch Grove play area and approve the quote.
f) To consider quotations and approve an annual play inspection provider.
g) To note the Clerk’s delegated decisions expenditure as per Section 5.15 of the Parish Council’s Financial Regulations.
h) To review the asset register.
i) To review and approve adjustments to the Earmarked Reserves.
j) To receive the Internal Auditor’s report and recommendations.
k) To approve the 2025/2026 Governance Statement for submission to the External Auditor.
l) To approve the 2025/2026 Account Statements for submission to the External Auditor checking the bank reconciliation to accompany it.
m) To receive dates set for the Exercise of Public Rights period to inspect SPC accounts.
n) To approve standing orders and direct debit list 2026/2027.
o) To approve bank reconciliations for April and May 2027.
p) To consider and approve payments made or to be made between meetings.
q) To receive details of income received.
